Was watching the hockey game. Canes utterly dominating the Islanders.

 

Islanders thrived most of the season because of their goaltending tandem. Scoring goals was not their strong suit.

The replays on the Lin slide look worse each time. I guess the foot first slide is becoming another lost art in baseball. That was ugly.

I thought the discussion was Chavis getting hurt playing 2nd base, not sliding into 2nd base. Btw, when Pedey comes back and is put back at 2nd, I don't want to hear complaining that Pedey isn't hitting. Of course, there will be complaining. Where's Chavis? will probably be the 1st complaint.

Happened exactly as I described in fact. He turned into the runner. Though I am sure he has about a zillion ways to get hurt out there learning middle infield in the major leagues.

Ironic that Ian Kinsler may be the main reason the SOX were so anxious to re-sign Pearce. If Kinsler doesn't make that error in game 4, the SOX sweep and there's no game 5 for Pearce to go crazy.

I don't think we will see much of Pedey. I doubt I will even have time to complain even if I had a mind to.

 

I am never going to like playing novice players out of position in the ML's especially if there are some inherent physical risks to playing the particular position in question. Then again if we think the kid is just cannon fodder, meat for the meat grinder, who cares...be my guest.

Whenever pedroia comes back it won’t matter if he is hitting or not because it will only be 2 or 3 games until he is injured again...
