Fans don't know Velazquez was a star in the Mexican League, that DD signed. Always known for changing speeds and not walking batters. Obviously the caliber of hitters way different, but it was a good gamble by DD.

I don't know why our other RH hitters are not taking advantage of how petrified Plutko is of coming inside. Mookie certainly is.

In regards to the Guardians having 4 starters with over 200 K's, it reminded me of the Guardians and the O's having 4 pitchers to win 20 or more in a single season. With the 5 man rotation and pitch counts, I truly doubt that will ever happen again.

This is what is frustrating about most of our RH hitters. This guy hasn't even been throwing hard sliders down and away. He is just throwing nothingballs to the outer edge every pitch and we STILL can't hit it.

Cal Ripken has to be shaking his head at these guys.

Either that or these guys look at Cal's record and say "how the heck did he ever do that".

No telling how many Gehrig would have played in had he not been cut down by disease.

I'm guessing that Cal stayed away from the weight room.

I know for a fact that Lou avoided the weight room. There wasn't any.
