Don't get me wrong..I have been saying for a month that I was not convinced that Hembree should even make the post season roster. But that does not help the problem. We are grabbing at straws and Monday Morning quarterbacking.

 

I repeat..the best way to handle this pen is to leave them out there throwing sunflower seeds at each other. No matter what it takes, leave them out there until you just can't stay with your starter.

Agreed. Hembree is a proven bad choice and Johnson is not adequate. With two men on you bring in Brasier right away to quell the rally. No Barnes tonight so it might get tough. We should be cruising but the choice of relief pitching no has it tied.

Maybe Cora should have gone with Brasier sooner, but Brasier got hammered Friday night by not one but two doubles. It was last night's crew of Workman, Poyner, and Thornberg who pitched well, but they threw 1.2, 2, and 2 innings.
