The Yankees are getting desperate. They don't have the starting pitching to go anywhere this year. Cashman needed to fix that problem but failed to. He has sucked in this area in previous seasons as well -- he isn't the best evaluator of starting pitching, it's his main weakness and goes back many years.

The starting pitching has been dreadful lately. That better change if this team has plans for a deep October run.
