The SOX starters are similar to divorced wives who aren't receiving their alimony checks.

Stop, your killing me.

This visit to Minnesota is proving to be a real downer which could become a sweep. Basically, no hitting. And we can't blame that on injuries because Mookie and JDM are both healthy (for all we know).

Is that the bottom of the order wreaking all the havoc? Mookie, Beni, and JDM, please take note. That ain't Bob Gibson on the mound, but a pale imitation.

Walks had to catch up to Gibson at some point. He has just been all over the place. The reason his slider looks good is because it is so far the only thing he can throw for a strike.

Sandy Leon has been hitting the ball well lately, he's had a lot of clutch 2 out hits this year it seems like.

On top of which, I am fine with out catching tandem. Nice when they come thru on offense, however. More than nice.

If Porcello can hang tight thru the 6th, this game might be winnable. Then, when the team returns to Boston, we can have a parade and give him the keys to the city. Words from a desperate fan.

Now that we have knocked their best players out of the game (nhark...nhark...nhark) we might win this thing.

Stunningly good. What could be better than a 1-2-3 inning right after grabbing the lead? Well done, Porcello.

Someone else pointed out that following Wright is advantageous for whoever gets that start because the other teams timing will be off.

Maybe Porcello benefits from pitching after two lefty starters. Nah.

Rick has this facility to go from looking iffy at the start of the game to just blowing hitters away by the middle innings. its not like he gets a little better. He gets a whole lot better.
