Maybe 3 days ago the cry went forth, "the Sox can't hit lefties." Well, now they can't hit righties either. But maybe the Twins can't either because here comes Porcello. vs. righty Kyle Gibson, who last time out went 7 and gave up 1 run vs. the Guardians.

Gibson can be tough if he is on, very hittable if he is not. His two seam FB has generally been the thing to look for. If he has success with it and gets rolling with it, he can be very tough.

And there is the issue, right there. Its the LH hitting corp which is utterly useless against LH pitchers and climbs to meh against RH pitchers. Struggling RH pitcher in the 1st. Two RH hitters get on. Two LH hitters make out. 1 more out...inning over. XB's AB was more impressive than that of either LH hitter.

JBJs bad luck at this point is truly remarkable. I don't think I've ever seen a guy actually hitting the ball so hard right at people.

After doing some diligent research, I discovered that JBJ's favorite song is CENTERFIELD by John Fogarty.

Our guys are doing their level best to get Gibson a nice pay raise or something. They look worse, so far, the second time through the lineup. Beni strikes out swinging at 3 straight sliders!!!???? Gibson's throwing a lot of low pitches and some of them are out of the zone but they are swinging anyway. Must be a heckuva slider.
