The FOX crew doing the pregame for the Yankees game actually took our lineup over theirs. But, all season long, I've sat in bewilderment. I don't think we're that good, at least not as good as the Yankees. I don't expect to win the division, which really sucks because of the Wild Card game. We could still easily win 100 and have a play in game.

We will make the playoffs. If we don’t the season will be a failure. I expect us to win the play in game and be in the playoffs. If we could get another big time bat.

I'll pretend I know what you're talking about because I feel like you would ban me if I said I haven't seen Major League. That generational gap strikes again

So go watch it and smile.

I recommend catching a buzz for it.

Being slightly less hot garbage than the starters will not win him a role. He has to win a role. he isn't going to back into one by sucking less.

I wasn't saying he should start, I was pointing out how truly bad that lineup we fielded today was lol. Luckily JD is a beast and White Sox don't know how to play baseball.

That would be illegal.... I'm underage.

Plus, I've already vowed to live a life free of alcohol and recreational drugs. I survived a year in college, so I like my odds.

I'll tell you one thing, if you can get through life without alcohol, rec drugs and cigarettes, you are going to save yourself an incredible amount of money.

A little too early to write the Sox off I think. I am stunned you don't like Sox hitting. Literally stunned. 2d in MLB in runs, dingers, and OPS.

Our five best hitters so far are Betts, JDM, Beni, Bogie, and Moreland--and three of them have only played 80% of the games to date. Devers so far is languishing, but has potential written over over him.

You gotta stop following the game threads where some talksoxers actually enjoy hammering the lineup or any other miscue. On some threads they would have us believe our baserunning is below little league level. I'm serious. Oh, and the lineups are almost never optimal and Cora overall slightly below average as a manager. And so on and so on.

I do think the Yankees hitting is better, but not by much, and that to me is astounding because I think they are loaded this year.

Meanwhile I think are pitching is definitely better now that Pom is on the DL and Wright looks like the 2016 version, Porcello almost 2016, ERod maybe his best year to date, and two potential aces in Sale and Price. Time will tell, but I just don't see the Yankees rotation being as good as ours.

I love our team. We really just need to cleanup some of these odd strains/pulls/tweaks that cause some of our best players playing time.

I just finished watching yesterday’s game. Good to see JBj with a dinger.

JDM may have been the best signing in all of baseball last offseason. Props to DD for that.

That's part of the plan my dude.

I don't know. I couldn't tell you why. This team just doesn't feel like a 44-21 team to me.

Above .500 but stuck in the water offensively

Betts is close to return. They need to pitch well enough to win, the league is in despair. This team is winning 95-100+ games.

It is just hard to adjust to how God-awful most of the these teams, particularly how bad AL teams are this year. Even knowing to some extent this was coming few of us including me were prepared for this much awfulness at the same time.

Though we might not realize it, we already see the business side of baseball trying to retract from the spend-free days of the past. They are ending up with too much money tied up in either players that simply can't stay on the field or when on the field simply cannot perform at anything like the standard predicted for them at this stage of their careers (see Blue Jays, the absolute poster child for this facet of current MLB).

MLB has simply become too much a mix of aging stars unable to perform and young guys too young and underdeveloped to perform at a high level over the length of a 162 game schedule. Pitching has adapted by throwing more pitchers into a game each recording on average fewer outs than before. Not sure there is a remedy of any sort for the everyday ballplayer.

I predict that the lack of financial support for free agents thought to demand much more money in the 2017-2018 off season is not a one off but the beginning of a trend away from these massive contracts. Baseball can't support them. The product itself does not support them.

MLB franchisees have finally I think found the means to once again leverage their positions as owners in their player contract dealings without being successfully charged with collusion.

Pitching wise I feel we should be where we are at. But offensively still a bit too inconsistent.
