I just got here so forgive me if someone else has already said this but OMG it's nice to have OB & Eck back in the booth after that shitshow on Sunday Night.

Don't get too happy, Dewey. That shitshow returns Thursday. Mute, I say, Mute.

So how far can Wright go; complete game if his stuff keeps working. This game should get him another start , whether at Pomeranz's expense or not. The only trouble is that the knucklebal is so unpredictable that there is little correlation from one game to the next. Any way, glad to see him on tonight. easier to win series when you take the first one

C'mon, Devers, make me a liar.

This time it was Vaz in the lower part of the order who hit into a rally killing DP. It sure would help to get more contribution from are 6 through 9 players. We are lucky with Nunez starting to hit like he did last year. We don't feel the loss of Pedey nearly as much when Nunez hits. When Betts gets back Soon?), we can put 7 solid bats into the lineup and Holt is at least a professional hitter.

I haven't been on the site for a while but have monitered it and it seems like it has been cleaned up. Moderator actions were needed and must have been applied. Thanks for the effort.

I thought the SOX put POM on the DL.

They have. Jax was right there to start a thread to make sure we all knew about it.

I wish there was some way I could coordinate the radio with the TV.

I hope 6 runs is enough because the SOX should have at least 10.

Don't be getting all greedy now. Wright has this thing well in hand. I hope.

Baseball is a visual game. When you go to a game live, there's no announcer telling you what's going on. I usually listen to music while I'm watching the game. When the games are on ESPN or YES, I just turn the music up louder.

Yes, only saw that news on Pom during the broadcast. The GM's best friend, a 10 day DL. Drew P. must have strained the biceps doing his heavy lifting workout. Brandon Workman comes back, which is a nuetral thing for the moment.

I've come to like some of the announcers. My favorite (and just about everyone else's I think) was Vin Scully. I was known to stay up past my bedtime if I knew Scully was going to be calling a game on the west coast.

There will NEVER be another Vin Scully. Btw, hockey has an excellent play-by-play guy named Doc Emrick. He, like Scully, adds to the enjoyment of the game. It's definitely an art form.

Eck says the Tigers are tired. I say bring us your tired, in fact, the more tired, the better.

Interesting how wins vs. sub .500 teams are as good in the end as beating the Astros-Yankees. Oh, that is until playoff time.

But this year the war will go down for who wins the AL East thereby avoiding being the 100+ win team in a Wild Card play-in game against Astros, Mariners, etc.

I heard today that the Yankees cried and whined their way out of that ESPN game though.

(To be fair about it I thought what ESPN was demanding the Yankees do was unreasonable though)

There's something inherently wrong with that.

It seems to these tired old eyes that Vazquez's catching tonight was pretty close to perfect. Not even a wild pitch, let alone a passed ball. And a shut out so far.

Can we, at least for awhile, put to the bed the notion that Swihart should be catching in his place? I mention Swihart because he never could get the hang of catching Wright. I know Swihart is younger, taller, and prettier than Vazquez, but I just don't see him as a regular catcher for this team unless and until Leon or Vazquez is injured.

Eck says JBJ can handle a ball away from him better than he can one that's in on him.

Er... That's because his swing is (still) too big.

I agree, and that's why Swihart is still with the team.

Swi does give the SOX 3 catchers, which allows Cora the luxury, if he wants, to PH for Leon or VAZ. That Swi can play other positions makes him a good guy to have on the bench.

Vaz just proved to people like myself that even though he's had ups and downs he is a big league catcher ...great Defensive performance .

VAZ handled Wright's knuckler perfectly tonight. Just a great battery performance tonight.
