I wouldn't trust this guy in a big spot if my life depended on it.

I wouldn't really consider this a "big spot" its a regular season game against the Angels on the West coast. Every pitcher is gonna get rocked occasionally, even guys like Kershaw.

Xander should play 3rd and Lin or marrero ss.

This offense just can't over come a 5 run performance by the other team very often.

What was going on in that bunt play, was that an attempted squeeze?

Yeah it was a squeeze, Pennington messed it up and left Calhoun in a bunch of trouble.

Is it just me or this is the worst defense I have seen in a loooong time. Our defense used to be pretty decent. Not sure what the coaching staff is doing regarding this, but they need to address the fundamentals soon, including the base running.

The coaching staff is doing nothing about these issues.

Something has to be done about this offense and infield (outside of pedey). You can't expect to win 1-0 every damned night...

You'll get Josh Rutledge back this Monday.

For all the speculating and wishing here is the deal.

It's 66% of the way into the season and we know what we have. For the past several months we have been waiting for this and for that to happen but continue to wish for things to develop. Here is my rough breakdown of what we are dealing with.

Pitching: very good

Bull pen: above average with a very good closer

Fielding: below average

Offense: average on a good night and bellow average in general.

We are 10 games over 500 and will probably finish 15 games over 500, that's what this team is.

The argument for why this team isn't better than that with this pitching staff is the real question.

If they are going to stay like this, at least call up Devers and Lin. What is stopping them?

Well at least Baltimore, Toronto and Tampa lost. Yankees look like they might take the lead against Seattle though with bases loaded.

Farrell shouldn't have sent Fister the other day. We could have won with Sale vs Toronto, won yesterday with Price and probably lost today with Porcello.... but I'm damn sure that we could have won as well tomo with Pomz.

Yankees tied it, but thankfully Robinson Cano hit a go ahead homer in the bottom of the inning. Mariners up 1 in the 9th.

P.s. Timlin is not good.

WHat we need to add excitement to this broadcast is a person who is monotone and is not exciting at all.......

How about Mike Timlin sir......?

Perfect...... go sign him up.....

I think he is pretty good. I do understand that he is not exactly a house of fire in the excitement department. He is a monotone.

But he Knows the game and he meshes with OB seamlessly.

I get it. He is sort of a Gomer Pyle in the booth.

At least he knows it and is willing to be self deprecating.

And as far as I am concerned everyone from the 2004 team is a hero except Doug Mankavich (SP) who was a giant f***ing dick with the series winning ball.

The voice of reason. Price had been looking pretty good.

Yea...... I should have said.... if you stick with him he's interesting, especially when talking about his experience in the MLB. In general for a broadcaster, I give him the thumbs down, he doesn't have ANY flair.............. but he has stories that other broadcasters don't have.

And Timlin was one of those guys that got a bad rap, he was a workhorse that had some good and bad outings, but he was crucial to winning a championship...

I think we are average on offense. Exactly middle of the pack.

Defense has been really good, especially of late.

Starting has been very good, and hopefully with Price and Erod and Porcello gettin better may be the best in the MLB, I think already best in the AL.

Bullpen, very good........ but getting worked hard, but probably every team saying the same......

It sucks Price had a bad outing. I'm actually a huge fan of his workhorse number 2 style. I'd wager good money he comes back next outing and throws a quality start. We need that type of guy in the rotation.

Although, I think in a fight between him and Eck, Eck is Psycho enough to grab a champaign bottle and crack it over Prices's head for the K.O. Eck would win the brawl...
