I am not sold that 1 through 9 ca hit and put pressure on a team. Vasquez is not that good. Bradley is prone to long slumps. Moreland is a career .317 OBP guy. We have some holes for sure. Pablo can't hit lefties, and Rutledge (the righty platoon) isn't much either.

Just for the fun of it. I'm going to call you totally wrong.....

It wouldn't be the first time that I had been totally wrong.

For the fun of it......... I'm calling this team will mash the next two months..... I don't even know if I beleive that............. but that's my guess...

Moreland looked clumsy around the bag on that play. I am not liking what I see from him defensively.

Interesting.

I'll say this. I knew George Scott.

Moreland is not George Scott.

I don't know what he looked like last year because I didn't really watch him, but he has more errors already this year than he had all of last year. Not sure what's going on with that.

Who cares? Fielding Percentage is a useless stat.

If I had to guess. Price will be nothing to us this year. And will get surgery, and be nothing next year too........ and then cash in on his option. And may be ok for a few years.....

This is a possibility. And pretty much The Worst Case Ontario.

I expect Price to return and have a slow start to his season but be okay to really good in August and September.

I expect nothing from either Smith or Thornberg.

Last night I was pretty sure the Sox would lose because of the weak hitting and was delighted to be proven wrong. I still think the hitting is weak, but love that Uehara did not have his good splitter and quickly gave up 3 singles before Maddon could pull him. Hernandez single was weak, but Bogaerts and especially Beni had solid singles. Then Betts struck out, and the Cubs went into their own comedy routine of wild pitches and bad throws, thank goodness.

Given my almost continuous griping about this team's underperformance so far, I now look forward to this series with some excitement because short term--it's a very, very long season--is potentially at hand. We will go with Porcello, Sale, Pomeranz, and Wright against the Orioles' Bundy, Asher, Gausman, and Jimenez.

I do not foresee a slugfest if only because I don't think our guys have it in them. So far we have lost slugfests except for beating the Jays 8-7.

That's the way, think positive.
