And Swihart is catching him much better.

That first game with Wright and Swihart I remember one passed ball pitch where they replayed in slow mo where Swihart had his eyes closed for most of the pitch....

I don't think he was a douche. Just a clueless idiot who said a ton of really dumb things.

Yeah. I'll never forget the "if that pitch wasn't a strike it would have been a ball".

Maddon, Scioscia, and Showalter - The trifecta of micromanaging idiots.

LaRussa made it the 4 horses asses of micromanaging idiots before he retired.

Considering the way he was thrown into the fire before he was ready, Swihart is doing a good job behind the plate.

No funny stuff tonight with Wright. That was much improved over last Sunday.

I haven't really watched enough of LaRussa to know, but it sounds about right.

He may have been the worst. The last 3 innings always took at least an hour when he was managing.

Taz missed his spot badly on that last pitch. Umps will not give that as a strike many times if the catcher has to reach for it.

This happens when they pitch him 3-4 times within a 5 day period, he just can't properly locate. He is usually pinpoint.

That first outing by Wright, he couldn't get anything over other than a knuckleball. I only saw him a couple innings tonight, but the fast ball and a serious bending curve worked a few times......... his outing may be dependent on his secondary pitches...

or he prays the knuckleball goes over all night....

It's hard to argue he is a utility player.... even with him coming down to earth lately..........

He is a starter and work great with the pitching staff he knows little about.
