The sox have a top 10 pick. NY has picks 16 and 30. And probably the best player available in the draft, Brady Aiken (last year's #1 overall picks who didn't sign) just has TJS yesterday. He's gonna slide, the question is, how far? Would the sox be willing to draft an injured player? If he falls to the Yanks, would they be willing to draft another TJS recoveree. Their last venture here didn't end well (Brackman). Either way, should be interesting

My guess is that someone will grab him too high so neither of our team will have a shot at deciding to take that risk in an appropriate spot.

I admit that I am not very familiar with the draft. I just look at who the Sox draft and then try to follow them afterwards.

Aiken might be the kind of guy the Red Sox go for. It seems like they always go after high risk, high ceilings players. Sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn't. They can buy mid-tier talent, but you need to go to the draft to find franchise players.

MLB.com has Aiken at #6 and five-tool outfielder Daz Cameron at #7. I am surprised to see that he is the son of former Red Sox Mike Cameron.

Writers say (for what it's worth) that the Sox may take a chance with Aiken since they already secured a player in Moncada who would have been a high draft pick.
