If he wanted an ace, he should have done everything to get Darvish. Dickey was never doing to repeat what he did. Mets sucks now, but it got 2 young ace pitchers.

Ells double in the first would have been out in YS. If he stays healthy, he's gonna be a f***ing pest for other teams. BTW, Tanaka's debut has been pretty solid. 6IP 6H 2ER 0BB 6K. He is gonna be a good pitcher

He's not a 3-hole hitter if you're heading in that direction. His time with the Red Sox never show he can hit 3rd except an outliner 2011 season he went bananas.

I'm looking at his stuff. He gave up 3 runs (2 earned) because his 2 seamer rode up. He got it down the last 5 innings and was untouchable. His splitter reminds me of Koji's. He has a sharp slider and a good slow curve. He looks like he can locate everything. That being said, maybe he was just on tonight, or maybe this is who he is. I don't know yet, but what I've seen thus far is very impressive. 92-94 with the fastball with a tail and a devastating splitter that he throws 87mph.
