Still don't understand why the Sox hitters for the most part have not narrowed up their zone with less than two strikes. Tiger pitchers have had them just completely off balance because they are throwing strikes in great locations. But trying to cover the whole plate is just playing into the great pitcher's hands. They are getting some pitches to hit if they were just prepared for them and looking for them. Hard to hit this way though.

We need to stop swinging at pitches out of the strike zone. It seems like everyone needs to shorten up on their swing. We do not have to hit a home run every at bat. The plate discipline has been crappy. Gomes finally gets a hit. Nice compact swing and hits it up the middle. We just need base runners and need to start stringing together some hits.
