Angry Joba Chamberlain to Mariano Rivera: 'Don't shush me'

Joba Chamberlain has never exactly endeared himself to New York Yankees fans, and he didn't help his case Saturday.

Chamberlain scolded teammate Mariano Rivera, a Yankee legend beloved by pretty much everyone, before Saturday night's game against the Kansas City Royals. "Don't ever shush me," Chamberlain told the star closer in full view of reporters and fans, according to the New York Daily News.

Here's what happened: Rivera was talking to reporters in the dugout about his "emotional" meeting with local fans earlier in the day, while Chamberlain was standing just outside the bench chatting loudly with his family.

At one point, Rivera paused and joked with reporters, “Is this guy always loud like this?”

A little later, Rivera seemed to lose his train of thought as Chamberlain’s voice rose, prompting the closer to call out: “Joba! Yo! Bro! Shhh. Stop it.”

Once Rivera's interview was done, Chamberlain delivered his "don't shush me" message, which he then reiterated , saying he was serious about it.

After the game, Chamberlain declined talk about the incident, saying it was between him and Rivera.

"We’ll take care of it," Rivera said. "We’re grownups and I know better than that. We’ll take care of that.”

What an idiot!! The Yankees should trade his fat sorry ass.

Someone in that locker room should have stood up and told that stupid inbred fat jackass that when Mo tells someone to shut up, they shut up.
