Lineup is out -

Ellsbury CF

Victorino RF

Pedroia 2B

Napoli 1B

Middlebrooks 3B

Nava DH

Salty C

Drew SS

Bradley Jr LF

 

Dempster RHP

 

Not that I should be surprised, but adding Drew really makes this lineup look much, much deeper.

 

When Ortiz gets added, the lineup is going to be pretty stout.

Dempster will make Baltimore his biaaaatch! Gonna be a great game. Must stay ahead of those bloody Yankees! But I'm sure the Sox are well aware of the Yanks record as of late.

JBJ breaks out of his slump tonight!

 

I like this lineup. I hope Drew brings that .800+ OPS bat to the plate. That would make a very well-rounded lineup with Ortiz.

 

Toronto probably going to lose.

Read today that the sellout streak is officially over, unless 7,000 fans swarmed the gates this afternoon. Done at 793, I'm going to what would have been #799, with #800 on Patriot's Day. How nice would that have been?

Not too confident with Dempster on the mound. Didn't look good in his first start.

 

I'm also a little concerned. He's gotta keep the ball down and locate this time around, not too excited to see what may happen to him on Fenway on a bad day. None the less, I still think we have a decent shot.

 

Drew certainly does make this lineup seem deeper. Hopefully we get some good stuff from him. This lineup has a lot of different ways of winning, and that's always pretty excited. Should be a fun one to watch.

Yanks and Guardians look like a postponement. I was hoping for the Sox but I get the Braves. Unfortunately, Mississippi is filled with a lot of "life long Braves fans" that started watching baseball around '92.

Well, at least I get to see the Celtics in an hour.

Ball dropped between Ells and Vic. Ells coming and calling...Vic more or less positioned under it but needing to move just a step or two more to really be under it. Result...ball dropped between them with both about one foot away from the ball and three feet away from each other.

Dempster so far much higher % of balls down compared to first start.

 

He sucks vs NYY.

 

Dempster looking good, IMO. Red Sox now have to do something offensively.
