Davis has just gone ridiculous...looks like Agons looked for that stretch early this year....EXACTLY!

I think Davis has swung at 8 straight pitches regardless of location in the last three at bats

I hate Joe Girardi. Seriously, the guy gets rewarded by winning a game last night by pinch hitting for the useless ARod. Then, in a spot where a f***ing flyball wins the game, he leaves him in against a guy he had no shot against. This one is on Girardi!

This has been like watching two field mice fighting an epic battle....for the rights to go face off against the house cat.

Davis is totally screwed at this point...as feeble as the Yanks have been, Davis looks like he is having a nervous breakdown. He cannot get his swings over with fast enough so he can scurry back to the dugout....something we saw a few Red Sox do on occasion this year.

That final swing was totally pathetic as he just threw the head of the bat out there hoping something would get in its way. Will be interesting to see how he comes out tomorrow as I doubt one night will be long enough for him to come around....Jones has been equally useless.....the only difference being that while Davis looks like he is headed for a straight jacket, the only way you can tell Jones still has a pulse is when he blows a bubble.

CC will likely make mince meat out of them tomorrow and the Yanks will somehow squeeze out a constipated run. Damage is already done though....only shot they had was to set their rotation and have Detroit waste Verlander.

They probably sit Davis against CC and play a RH OFer. That's a funny line about Adam Jones.

The O's prolonged the inevitable last night. At least they will burn up CC so he can't start game 1 of the ALCS. The O's threw away game 3. That was the must game for them. I don't think they can beat CC, who always steps it up in the big spots.

I really am surprised that the Yanks didn't light up Saunders.

I am shocked too but the way Saunders is pitching I would grab him for a 3 year deal. he dealt with the Rangers and now Yankees. 1 run in both games. when was the last time our pitcher gave up 1 run in 6 innings i cant even remember. Lester was half decent in that game against the yankees its pretty sad isnit.

yep but CC will be tough to beat in yankee stadium. even though i wish a flying bat comes and hits his left hand :dunno:

I'm interpreting all this as reverse psychology. Here, I'll run with it too.

Sabathia is a lock. O's have NO CHANCE today.

Hopefully, there will be some reverse lock thing working tonight. :D

Sanders really left some pitches that should have been hit out there. The Spanks like many of the hitters in all of the division series have gone nuts trying to leave the building instead of using their heads and taking balls on the outer 3rd to the opposite field. Hitters are trying to pull even with 2 strikes and they end up looking hopeless. The head of the bat looks like it is about a foot away from the ball as they swat away.

Jeter and Ichiro are about the only guys that have not gone down that road on the Yanks.

yes same with the Orioles at times. Ripken was saying the same thing over and over, they were trying to win with a big swing instead of some quality at bats.

the only quality at bat was Lew Ford who fouled pitches but still got to a flyout.

Geez, the hitting has been so abysmal you would think guys would start coming to the plate with a different idea. So far no. That backdoor job from CC to Weiters was an insane pitch.

Ichiro looked terrible...almost like the our east coast kind of cold weather is just not to his liking or something.

Often beat on our guys for swinging at first pitches that are not middle middle but these guys are swinging at first pitches that are almost on the black. You can tell from the swings they are not pitches in locations they are expecting either.

Now this is totally insane...Jeter has been the only guy hitting for the Yanks regulars and instead of the other guys trying to copy him...he starts swinging like his mates. That is the first time I have seen him try to pull a ball on the outer third this series.

Is it possible for a division series to end with neither team moving on...I wonder if Uncle Bud has some hidden rule where he gets to vote both teams out

Don't waste your time tonight guys.? The bankee$ spent the O's payroll years ago to lock up fatassia for the very scenario we have here tonight. Neither one of these teams can hit a baseball but the O's have NO chance to hit ballou tonight. Worry not folks, the bankee$ will not survive the next round.

yankoffs just won the game by scoring a run. Eff yourself Showalter, back to obscurity for you. Looks like the inevitable second round death for the Guiness Book of World Records annual winner of the highest payroll in baseball.

I think Showalter has been utterly pitiful in this series...totally useless. If they lose it he is in my view as much responsible as anybody if not more so. They would have done as well to have nobody managing.
