New City, new hope? Nope. Sox slump to 0-7 on this road trip. 1 bad inning by Buchholz and that's it - he was very respectable apart from that. Certainly looks one of the few players that still gives a sh*t.

 

Heaven only knows when we'll next get a win at this rate. :dunno:

This is worst than last season's end, except that at least was dramatic to watch. This is just sad.

We are so bad. We are bottom five in the American League. That is absolutely heart Breaking. I can't stand looking at the standings.

Henry is gonna take control. BV is out! He will now take Ben's seat and BV will be the new GM. Or at least that appears to be the logic that they follow in recent years. I could be wrong though, maybe BV is going to the bullpen and Ben is gonna DH until Papi recovers from is annual case of "Straighten out next years contract before the season ends - itis".

Even though we blew it pretty bad last season, we still had some shred of heart in some of those games. I haven't seen the Sox look interested in the last couple series.

Too bad Toronto keeps losing too or else we'd climb up the reverse standings. Watching the draft rankings is the only part of baseball I enjoy now.

Watching the A's potentially make a miracle happen is the only thing worth watching in the MLB now. It's a great story.

Although it pains me to say it, Danny Boy and the O's are as good a story as the A's. It might do us all some good to recognize that both of those teams rely more on run prevention than on run production and we are sucking exhaust in both cases. Sorta getting tired of seeing our FO chase after every overgrown hitter in existence while the pitching sucks and the defense is passible only because you are not dinged in errors for missed DP's and balls you simply do not even have the range to get to.

 

While Billy is a Sabre fanatic he has put in the time to understand how to stitch together a team that can play well behind solid pitching. The A's and the O's are both studies in how you can build a winning team on a short budget with the Rays pretty damned good at it also.
