Are you hearing or reading anything in your local media about the Marlins lokking to move Reyes? They seem to be in salary dump mode. He'd be a nice pickup for the Sox. Also, I have read that they are looking to dump Buehrle. He is very consistent and reliable.

 

it wouldn't be surprising if they did dump Reyes. They realize now that it was stupid to spend the money that they did because they don't have a market for a baseball team. Florida isn't a very good baseball state.

The whole undertaking with the new stadium etc. was a tremendous mistake.

Zach Stewart pitches for the Red Sox tonight. He announced his game plan-- to throw strikes early, not do too much and let the hitters get themselves out. If the Angels heard the interview, they will be aggressively swinging early in the count. I have never seen this guy pitch, but I will be surprised if he makes it past the 4th inning.
