This isn’t the lineup I expected to see when I was sitting at Jet Blue Park. No Ortiz, no Youk/WMB. This is one of the reasons why we aren’t that good this year. When we have Aviles, Posednik, and Punto in the same lineup we aren't going to score a lot of runs. <_>

I hear ya but don't you worry a little about the kids coming in during all the turmoil? We have some good kids and they need to have a good experience when they come up to the bigs. I'm almost thinking that we should wait till next spring now. Or am I just being over reactive about it.

I don't think it will affect them. Especially not position players. I may worry a bit about the pitchers, although I strongly believe that if they dump Beckett this offseason, we will see a large trickle down effect where Lester becomes the true leader and Buchholz right behind him, and rather than just following Beckett, they'll actually take leadership roles and the pitching staff will be a much better group.

Here's hoping we can finish the season strong... 6 games out of a wild car spot is still possible. It seems whenever there is some pressure on the line this team crumbles to the ground. No better way to get back into the swing of things then beating Baltimore and the Yanks.

 

I have high hopes I know. Seems winning five straight games is way to much of a stretch for this team this year.

1. Junichi Tazawa (Chris Carpenter to take slot in bullpen)

2. Zack Stewart

3. Mark Prior

4. Chris Hernandez

5. Drake Britton (Yes. I know he's in AA. I'd still rather see him).
