One thing I find truly interesting is the way the Sox can talk like they are actually "trying" when in fact it is so obvious that they are not working to any plan and equally obvious that V would not have it that way if he had a choice in the matter. If you are not working to a plan you are not in fact trying...you are just up there taking your hacks independent of any other thought process going on anywhere else on the "team". Players and Management alike are going to try to lay blame for this whole mess at the feet of V or possibly V and BC and as little as I care for either one' date=' it ain't going to work. There is no way in my view [b']any real student of the game[/b] is going to accept as fact that this is V's fault or V and BC's fault as much as it is the fault of upper management for running this team into the ground and the players for just being the worst examples for a complete and total lack of anything remotely resembling team baseball over what has now even spanned an off season.

The owners are not students of the game-that's the problem.

Oh God here we go....here comes the end. Two on nobody out...we have dicked around all game long and now will pull the late innings el foldo. The silver lining I think is that these bums....all of them from top to bottom from JH to the guy that sweeps the stairs are going to leave nothing to the imagination after this year. Nobody I think will possibly be left looking for silver linings, rationalizations, obscure stats that suggest that if a ball here of there had bounced differently, they would have done thus and so as a team. They are a bad combination of ingredients resulting in a bad baseball team and I do believe that will be the inescapable conclusion.

first question, post game press conference:

Bobby, why wasn't the hot hitter, Ciriaco, in the starting lineup?

Answer. Well, I have trouble spelling his name

if anything good happens to this team it happens because some poor slob that has been kept for whatever reason apart from most of the nonsense surrounding this "team" is still playing baseball while the rest of them are playing tiddlywinks or something.

Way ta' go Pedro...please God somebody put him in a plastic bubble and keep the poison away from him until we can find a way to rid the place of the poison. I just don't think A GUY won't just be overwhelmed eventually....with the THING that is the Red Sox washing over him and beating him into submission. The tiny little islands of actual baseball being played on this team are so obvious compared to what is going on around them.

I was surprised they went to Ciri, I thought WMB will be available for pinch hitting. Worked out though. They should keep Ciriaco at short for the ninth but then again our team isn't exactly the sharpest pencil in the case.

He looks quite like the type to bury his head in the sand, so it shouldn't be much of a problem.

This Ciriaco kid has certainly secured his roster spot for 2013

That would be the logical way of thinking now, wouldn't it?

I'm sure Nick Punto will somehow secure a spot before he does.

Gonzalos, Pedroia, Ciriaco, Middlebrooks. How the heck can they not build a team around that infield next year? Should be interesting to see.

Don't you dare show me those *******s in the owners box while we are actually doing something.

Ross hitting behind a runner...stunning....have not seen that all year long. Nice job of going with the pitch...which so few of them do when the opportunity presents itself.
