You'rte writing a fantasy story. Have fun with that. Back here at the actual ballgame, it made literally no difference whatsoever whether Crawford stole that base or not.

 

Station 13 is right. Yes, the Sox suck right now, but if Crawford steals, there is the chance, just as there is every time someone steals a base, of a bad throw or a missed catch error, or even just a lucky bounce that puts him on third or even at home if the throw goes badly enough. In that situation there is no reason not to have sent him.

it's sort of inexcusable they didn't steal in the 6th or play hit and run. Gonzalez hit a dribbler if Crawford was playing hit and run he'd be at 2nd.

 

What the f*** is wrong with Crawford.

Did that look like a bunch of guys that care whether they win this game or not...I mean really care.... not just to the level of the usual "every guy in here wants to win every game ********". If they don't blow it tonight it will be tomorrow night...if not tomorrow night it will be the night after.

 

It is a sick sorry assed excuse for a baseball team.

 

As for keeping Miller out there....that may or may not have worked....easy to second guess....I have been OK with Miller against RH hitter really really early in stints. Not sure how many pitches he was up to at that point but over ten pitches and would not have trusted him there.

The headline tommorrow should be why Crawford wasn't stealing in the 9th.

 

If he was playing for TB, he sure as hell would be stealing.
