What happens to Lester and Beckett if we get more pitching?

Its clear that the back end of our rotation is better than the front half. If we bring in another starter, where do they go? Who loses a spot. I know Lester and Beckett are suppose to be the Ace's, but at this point, I can't think you'd take a spot from one of the 4 or 5 guys, right?

Yeah, I don't think we'd trade Crawford for a couple of bad pitchers... They're not horrible, but they're not exactly Ace's... And Crawford has was too much upside to throw him away for those guys

The Marlins would be wise to deal Sanchez before reality comes crashing back as he has sucked since June 1. I would hold onto Johnson for dear life right now, though. He has scuffled in return from injury, but his peripherals suggest he should be better. I'd hold him into next yr, see if he returns to the ace form and deal him for way, way more.

sounds like a freaking deal to me. we give away 1 prima-donna and get 1 back in return.

 

Beckett might be a lot better in the NL who knows.

This is a lost season. No one will trade anything for Lester, Bard, Matsuzaka, Lackey or Beckett as they are significantly overpaid or mental cases. We already have a surplus of starting pitchers what we need are starting pitchers who are good. We need someone who can straighten out the ones we have. Obviously McClure has not been able to solve any of the problems. Get someone who can make the starting pitchers we have effective again.
