Well, I can't say that I really thought the Red Sox would win more than two and even thought that was one too many.

We just suck.

Funny though... I put this all on the offense. 2 runs? wtf? #4 OPS offense scored 2 runs? and 1 yesterday? and like a grand total of 9 or someshit versus Mariners? LMAO.

I am sticking a fork in this team. No pitching=no playoffs. No heart=no playoffs. This team is disgusting. This is the game that ended our chances. We suck. Period.

You don't need my help to look bad...and stupid.

Pumpsie. The day people think you're any better or smarter than I am is the day I walk away from this site. If that's the sentiment, I'll leave and never come back. Exactly what you should've done a long time ago.

Stick a fork in 'em. This team is done.

Sorry guys. This is the end of our chances. We need to blow up the team and start over. Everyone knows it. Some admit it' date=' but everyone knows it. We suck. We will not make the playoffs this year. Again.[/quote']

Please stop spamming. You just posted the same thing 3 times. Once is enough.

The Sox are 4-32 in games where they score less than 4 runs.

big surprise.

what a horrible statistic.

Adrian Gonzalez & Carl Crawford look like some HORRIFIC signings when its so blazing clear that pitching is needed.

AG is the KING of Singles.

I still have faith in Crawford for this season. I have faith Gonzo will be good again: NEXT SEASON.

ArrgggghhH!!!

I'm reserving judgment until after the Yankee series.... Say what you want , but if we take 3 out of 4 and then get a few days off, get ellsbury/Crawford/WMB back in the lineup and possibly get a #2 or better starter while also sorting out our pen - aceves in long relief/Bard as setup/ and bailey closing.... Well, may sound cliche, but it's a whole new ballgame then

Just keep the blinders on. They fit you so well.

And don't break your hand patting yourself on the back. You aren't that smart.

That means oh so much coming from you. You're the definition of a fair weather pink hat fan. I'm not the one with blinders on. I don't know what's sadder, the fact that that is what you are or your complete inability to realize and/or admit it. It truly is pathetic.

People forget the injuries we have. Bailey closes the door tonight' date=' and the other nights Aceves has blown it.[/quote']

How do you know that? Bailey hasn't closed a single game for us yet. He is an unknown quantity.

OPTIMISM, BABY! It can change everything.

#2 starter though... where the f*** we gonna' find one of those? Hamels is apparently being shopped for (drum roll...) 4-5 AAA PROSPECTS!

I can't wait for the ASB.

Adrian "Singles" Gonzalez and Dustin "Sort of Broken" Pedroia need humongous second halves. And by humongous I don't mean 22 singles out of 26 hits by Gonzo.

I sure wish Iggy could play for us. Aviles production has dropped off and some pure defense would be great.

Dude, you are what-16 years old?

I have been a Red Sox fan before your father was born. What is sad is that folks like you refuse to face facts and instead, keep waving the pompoms. Its fine. Go for it. Its time for realistic people to start discussing how to make a real run in a year or two.

He may be unknown to you, but I'm getting a little too familiar with aceves walking off the field with his head down

Do you remember back in April when Aceves asked Valentine to "trust" him? I do. Well, he is 0 and 6 and has blown four saves. He is no closer. Truthfully, its time to consider what changes should be made to the roster now. I would start by getting rid of Beckett and Lester and trying to get real pitchers in the offseason.

Yeah, I'm 16 and in the time I've rooted for this team I have become increasingly more disgusted with fans like you. The ones without a single optimistic thought in their heads who live solely to trash the team that they claim to love so much. You're not being realistic, you're basking in the struggles of this team and coming in here to push your end of the world, we're doomed ******** because you like the thought of being right despite the fact that such a thing would contradict your claims of being a real, honest to god red sox fan. You come in here and just wait for a hiccup with the team to sound the alarm and flip s*** because it's what you do.

We have been saying it for awhile now...Kalish is not ready....they need to send him back to Pawtucket before he really losses confidence in himself. I don't even think I would do it right now if only because that might really do the kid in...bad game...immediately back to Pawtucket.

But they have to sit him I think and then send him down when one of the other outfielders is ready. Kalish has looked like this for the entire period he has been up here and from what I saw even the people on this board have been saying that he has to go back for at least a week or two now. He has got that deer in the headlights, please don't hit the ball here look and has had it now for days. At the plate you can see him going back to the dugout asking himself what the f*** happened that time.

However this is the Sox...give them a chance to put a defensive liability player at a position that just about demands a defensive plus player and they cannot stick the liability player in their fast enough.

The three most important defensive positions on the field are SS, C and CF with SS and C far more important than C.

Aviles has two failings that are glaring....balls hit right at him and balls hit to his right. Tonights error....right at him. Two games in Seattle, Salty fails to catch the throw from the outfield twice in two games....losses both.

Kalish is simply not ready to play ML Center field.....he just isn't. I just hope the kid is not destroyed....but this team is a mess.

I am really worried that as a forum we are just not calculating for how much more difficult the second half of the year will be...how many more close, low scoring games there will be, games that involve pitching and defense to a much higher degree and I just do not think this team will even give itself a chance in many of those games.

Give me Iggy now if healthy....get me a pitcher now.....move Mike to 3rd while WMB heals...get Punto the hell out of here.

Pretty intelligent and polite/non-abusive response to a comment that definetly warranted a little hardcore trash talking back...

Kudos BTR:thumbsup:

No one here basks in the struggles of the team, least of all me. We are ALL Red Sox fans (except Jacko). I recognize your right to think that we still are in some sort of race for a ring and you ought to have the decency to respect the fact that I do not think we are in that race any more. You be a Sox fan your way, and I will be a Sox fan my way.

Peace.
