The tight end did not learn his lesson the first time I guess.

Someone's watching a different part of the game than me. (Also, he was a WR)

Yup, I even think Salty might have seen that as an encouraging signal in his direction (meaning 4th in lineup). So the Sox may have gotten the best of both worlds in dropping AGons...who happens to be walking back to the dugout right now after another K.

That is what I thought but didn't one of the announce guy's say tight end at the top of the telecast? Maybe he played both???? I have no idea.

Consider the source: Buck amd McCarver. Dopes.

Adrian Gonazalez really needs a break. He went 0fer in 5 of his last 6. There isn't a single player in baseball that plays every single day, why does he seem to get to break the trend when he's killing the team?

I'm not even criticizing him, but Daniel Nava has been having a better season offensively and defensively than him, so I just don't understand why he can't get a day or two off.

I know I posted this the other day but I think either Cafardo or Abraham wrote that AGons was petitioning to remain in the lineup and the implication was that V wanted him to take a day. Assuming that is accurate I am wondering why V does not just remove him from the lineup as soon as they are out of these NL parks or even still in these NL parks.

"strikes out the side" should really only be used in a clean 1-2-3 inning.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of that either. It seems to becoming popular. Not a good thing IMO.

They used to say that the pitcher "sandwiched three strike outs" around a hit or a walk or whatever and reserved struck out the side for an inning with three up three down all by K.

BV makes the lineup card. Have Buch pitch tomorrow. Sit Adrian. Be the f'n manager. It's not like the team will extend him beyond 2 years anyway.

Buck and McCarver always seem compelled to have these...this guys thinks that discussions....like anybody cares. I have never understood what they hell they thought they were doing with that s***.

The s*** they talk about is always so mundane....like so and so likes 4 wheel drive????

I agree but I'm torn too. Buch has pitched so well this month. Shaking up his routine could be damaging. I wish he'd go tomorrow. I'm not too worried about Morales. If Lester keeps this up tonight, he could have a CG and the bullpen will get a day off.

Did you hear Buck talking about how his dad always said that no one cares if the announcers are uncomfortable with the temperature etc and that he had complained about the heat/humidity 3-4 times already. Jack Buck is rolling over in his grave if he can hear his son's announcing/game calling. Horrible. STFU and focus on the game!!!

These are Morales's last two times out of the bullpen.

I think Bobby Valentine is making a very good call with Morales-- he's been very good from long relief lately. Even if it doesn't go so well, you go with your long man as a swing starter-- that's what you do.

On the Buch thing and the Agons thing, I really don't think V has done anything to challenge a player's preference since the "we don't do things that way around here" incident.

FO did a horrible job there. Castrated their manager just like that.

V commented about golf maybe not being the best way for Beckett to spend his day off but that was certainly not a direct challenge to a player's preference.
