Oh my God Adrian...can it get any worse!

Sorry guys: Gonzo is a pathetic piece of s*** at the plate right now. Thats just the way it is. No excuses for him either; no mercy.

Oops' date=' 1-0 in the 2nd, time to panic again.[/quote']

There's no panic. Its just that some of the performances of our stars are getting really old. They will probably pick it up later this year, but come on, are Lester and Gonzalez really performing at an acceptable level? Gonzo is at .268/.740 with nearly a third of the season gone. And Lester sports an ERA of 4.72 and a WHIP of 1.361. Good enough?

No but logic dictates that they return to their career norms at some point in the season. Adrian will be who he is capable of being as will Jon. There is more evidence in favor of this theory than there are against it.

Not good enough, but a) Bolded, and B) Calling him a pathetic piece of s*** doesn't really contribute a lot to the discussion other than rile people up.

Players can have years when they don't perform as well as they have historically. Furthermore, if these "stars" play like those two guys are playing right now, they are fair game for criticism. If McDonald or Punto fail to hit HRs or average, its hard to criticize them too much because they are not expected to do much. Yes, they stink, but they are expected to stink. Lester and Gonzalez are supposed to perform well and they are not doing it. You can cheer them if you want, and I can heckle them if I want.

Point taken. I'll keep my criticisms to calling these guys bums instead. And they are performing like bums right now.

As for Adrian...he probably has more of a chance of returning to form at least if you want to call the later part of last season "form". I would expect him to find his way back to a decent BA but not sure about OPS. However it is still frustrating to see him make piss poor plate appearances right in the middle of a slump and you would like to see smarter baseball from Adrian as opposed to pouty baseball from Adrian. If you watch the progression of his at bats throughout a game, he has played pouty baseball.

As for Lester, what do you want call form....want to see him pitch like last year....that ain't much to wright home about. This whole thing about blowing up over ump calls is fairly new found for him at least as far as causing a complete meltdown goes. If he keeps that s*** up then no, I don't expect a return to I don't know what, 2010 form...what are we really talking about with Lester at this point? Why should we expect him to solve this riddle when he acknowledges the problem...claims he must do better and then one start later comes out and does exactly the same thing. Frankly I am beginning to lose hope in his regard.

Lester is way on thin ice....he could explode any inning now as he is playing right into the hands of these fat f***s....has just gotten away with it...sorta...so far.

I can hardly wait to hear Lester's postgame conference with the press.

"I gotta do better. I gotta pitch better. This is unacceptable"

In other words, he is going to play last game's presser in a video room.
