Texas probably had an unbeatable team before getting Oswalt. Now they are probably bullet-proof.

People said the same thing about the 2011 phillies.

I think the Rangers offense and bullpen are much better than the 2011 Phillies, but you are right that they have to play the games.

No they didn't, Chase Utley can never stay healthy, and Howard is hit and miss, he's a one-trick pony really.

Their offense overall was good, but not great. The Rangers have a devastating offense that can rip any pitcher to shreds, when you factor in that rotation and bullpen.... I don't see how any team can make up ground on them in the west unless they have some injury problems.

They were the best team the last couple of years IMO, even though the Giants kicked their asses pretty bad in 2010. They should have won in 2011, and they have to be the heavy favorite to win it in 2012.

Such a fun team to watch.

The crackhead manager gave away game six and the championship in 2011. It may have been the worst managerial move that I have ever seen pulling Netalfi Feliz after the Rangers recaptured the lead replacing him with Darren Oliver. They should be going for the repeat in 2012. The crackhead could stil be the undoing of this powerhouse.

I think Oswalt's people convinced the Ranger's people that the Halladay injury meant action needed to be taken.

I don't usually hope anyone other than a Yankee fail, but I don't like Oswalt. If he had anything left, teams would have been bidding frantically for him during the off season. He played this well and turned it into a job. It will be interesting to see it he is washed up or not.

Action? Cherries doesn't understand the meaning of the word.

No he doesn't, but then Theo didn't leave him much to play with.
