The decline happened after the all star break. Makes me think whether that HR derby got to his shoulder.

That might have been the start of it but he is not even swinging to hit HR's at this point or I should say the swing he has now is not going to generate many home runs. Even his wall balls now are more gentle looping liners than they are lasers. He is going to pile up tons of doubles, especially in Fenway but I really don't think he will be hitting many dingers.

Of course landing on second is no guarantee with Agons that something good is gonna' happen. See that slip out on the base paths tonight that was more of a slip up than a slip. Agons turned around right away after being called out and looked at the spot where his foot came out from under him as if the ground caused the mistake.

I think Agons is a fine ballplayer but I also think that at the end of the day this is going to turn out to be another pretty big overpay. By that I mean beyond the scale of most overpays. Ya' don't have to pay $22M per year for a lumbering 1st baseman that is going to bang out a bunch of doubles and singles which I think 700 has already pointed out.

I think they do technically sell the tickets' date=' ace ticket jsut doesn't sell them.[/quote']

"Technically", Ace has no intention of occupying any seats for any game. They are what is called a "distributor". They end up with some of the UNSOLD tickets.

Let the lies and rationalizations continue.

However one of the distributor representatives shot the idea that much of the streak is tied to the distributor unsold seats down saying that they would go broke very quickly holding onto enough tickets to matter. I think the thing that does fudge the sell out is the number of seats Management holds aside as "comp" tickets for unspecified use as that number is upwards of 800 seats per game.

Ace is not a distributor, Ace is a broker, the official agency for Sox tickets in the secondary, resale, market. I'm sure they buy some directly from the team, but a large majority of their tickets are procured from ticket holders who cannot attend all the games. Every ticket that goes through Ace is bought and paid for from the Sox. That's not a rationalization, that's the facts.

What is better for tickets' date=' Ace Tickets or Stub Hub. Or should you buy them from the club?[/quote']

Stubhub is far better. I never find good deals on Ace, and it doesn't have nearly as good a selection either.
