Hi Sox fans, I'm a Mariner's fan and baseball fan in general. I'm getting married in August and we are taking our honeymoon on the east coast. I have talked my soon-to-be-wife into taking in a sox game at Fenway. How can you not go when you're there?? My question (first of many maybe) is where is the best place in the park to take in a game? Knowing I will probably be there only once in my lifetime, I want to make it count. Any suggestions? Thanks.

There honestly is hardly a bad seat in the park....green monster seats are amazing, but pricey, IMO.....right field box seats anywhere near pesky pole are great, except during a night game..... During a night game ( 7:05 pm start time ) the sun sets over home plate of the park and for the 1st inning maybe into the start of the bottom of the 2nd can be really hard on the eyes.....I've even sat in CF bleachers and had a great time, couldnt see ellsbury when he had a play against the wall though ( seen on espn,it was a great catch too!!! Lol )

Overall, you'd have to be really unlucky to end up with seats that you weren't "satisfied" with.....

Down the right field line is probably your safest bet. There is usually only a band of seats just under the roof where you lose just the RF corner by the foul pole. There you are just not high enough or low enough to catch that right field corner but that is it. Usually you can still see the RFer going into the corner from there but just miss the very corner itself.

Every seat in RF grandstand is horrible. Fenway has some of the worst seats in MLB. The monster seats are terrible and uncomfortable. Good for batting practice, but that's it.

Best bet is to sit in CF seats. Cheaper, but views are better.

On the flip side, Fenway also has some of the best seats in MLB. Either pay to sit between 1st and 3rd, or get bleacher seats.

First of all I said " right field box seats" which are completely different than "right field grandstand".... I also said the box seats near pesky pole, which would imply near the field obviously....if you want me to be even more specific, last yr I sat in RF box, section 9, box 1 , row b.... For $52!!!! I literally reached over the wall from my seat and grabbed some "Fenway dirt" .... And those , sir, are amazing seats... Monster seats terrible?? I do believe he asked what's the best seat to " take it all in " .....Fenway is widely known as a great "spectator" park.... Aslong as you have a few bucks to pay for seats.... If all you can afford are the few seats that ARE crap, then I'm sorry for you sir

All the seats suck. The place is a dump and it stinks like urine.

You said you'd have to be unlucky to get a bad seat. About 10-15% of the seats are garbage imo. And not all the bad seats are discounted. Enjoy your "feel sorry for you" high horse. Just providing my opinion.

Umm as was I? I simply gave my opinion about the park, and you attacked my whole post?? And what I meant by "unlucky" is, as you should know, if you've been to gms, is you can pretty much find any seat you want through either gameday tickets, ace tickets , scalpers etc etc etc..... So yes he would have to be extremely unlucky to not be able to find seats to his liking??
