Sweeney's red hot to start the year. It's entirely justified to have him in the 2 hole.

Sweeney's having a hot start , unfortunately it aint going to last.

The best guys go at the top. You don't put some bush leaguer in the top' date=' because he has been hot for a week. The best guys go at the top. You want them batting in the same inning and you want them to get the most ABs. That's how you maximize run production.[/quote']

Normally, yes but in a lineup as torn to shreds as this one, you have to mix and match.

No s***, ride the hot hand while it's hot. If a guy is hitting .400, do you keep him in the 9 hole or do you ride it out until he regresses?

I've seen 5' date=' seeing as I was born in 87'.[/quote']

Lol... So when you were 8 or 9 yrs old ( 1996 ) you were a die hard Yankee fan?? Doubtful... I'll give you 4 ( 11 yrs old ) but not 5 buddy

You don't throw trash in between them and give away outs. Four elite hitters in a lineup can do a lot of damage, but they need to come up in the same inning and bunch their hits.

DP when we needed it. I don't think this is an issue of Buch settling today though. I am hoping he makes 5.

You ride the hot hand by having him in the lineup batting right after the elite hitter, not before them or interspersed with them.

I wasn't a "die hard" that young, but I was a fan since the early 90's. I even played little league baseball when I was 8.

He's trying to say that when he was 8 , on school nights- he was staying up to 10 or so watching the world series....... Yes, I've been a sox fan " my whole life" but I know I don't remember anything or prob even cared that much when I was 8.....

I think the dropped pop up may have f***ed with his head a bit after the run came in.

I actually think this lineup was worth a shot against a RH pitcher. Even with the way Sweeney is swinging the bat now there is now way I would have him up there against a LH pitcher.

You were a fan around the same time you were getting potty-trained??? Come on kid, seriously?? Like I said I'll give you 4..... That's it.... So don't come at with 27-2...... You can have 4-2.... That's all
