Hello,

I will be travelling to Boston for the first time this September to catch a couple games. I was wondering if I'm better off trying to stay at a hotel that is within walking distance to Fenway (which no doubt will be pricey) or trying to stay on the outskirts somewhere and finding a way to and from the game. Any transportation advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

You're better off paying the few extra bucks to stay in the city and walk to the games or ride the T---get the whole experience. Seabeachfred can help you if you need specifics.

Stay anywhere in the city as long as you can walk to a T stop. Hotels are pricey in general so shop for the best price.
Prices are up this year. It's very difficult to find discounts.

I usually stay in Coolidge Corner or Harvard Sq for 250 a night, but this year looks more like 300 or so there. Little cheaper if you stay by a further out T stop like Riverside.
