I'll be going to a Sox game for the first time this year. How are the bleacher seats? Are they pretty decent or should I pony up some extra for better seats?

Hello, I will be travelling to Boston for the first time this September to catch a couple games. I was wondering if I'm better off trying to stay at a hotel that is within walking distance to Fenway (which no doubt will be pricey) or trying to stay on the outskirts somewhere and finding a way to and from the game. Any transportation advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
