Everyone here keeps talking about how the Tigers look poise to take the WS.

Cardinals look even better. They are just absolutely rolling right now.

Man I love these games. They've been going down to the wire.

What a great at bat.

Lynda you old war horse...Hows things in Klan country?

Rick Perry makes me wonder why we stole Texas from the Mexicans.

I hate everything Texas accept the titty bars and the beaches in Galveston.

Verlander gets it done today but Texas is deep and Detroits banged up, Rangers in 6.

Hey Seano! Miss you bro. Things are fine down here in the lovely South. LOL about Texas, have never been.

I can see the Rangers taking it in 6 or before.

DON'T BE A STRANGER DAMMIT!!

Tigers tie it 1-1 in the 3rd.

I hope Red Sox dont intent on going after Wilson. He's awful.

He's still better then any other pitcher that will be a FA this off season, aside from possibly Yu Darvish. I doubt Boston would invest in another Japanese national treasure so soon though.

Wilson in the last two seasons:

31-15, 427.1 IP, 142 ERA+, 1.215 WHIP.

I'm a little concerned that he's in his 30s, and has only produced 2 years worth of this myself, but they are his only two seasons as a SP.

This is also in the Texas heat as well. I think there's a good chance he's the real deal, but I understand the concern with only 2 years of this under his belt, rather than a career's worth like most pitchers his age.

I think the sample size is enough though, 427 innings, two consecutive seasons of being a very reliable pitcher. I would not give him a monster deal like Lee or anything, but I would definitely give him an offer, and try to reel him in.

On top of that, I think this proves he definitely doesn't suck.

Hey Emmz, I'm interested in what your thoughts are about your boy Verlander and Scherzer now.

Even though Tigers won game 5 Verlander, again stunk the show. He gave up 4 runs and 8 hits and the only reason why he didn't get pulled was because the Tigers defense bailed him out. And tonight as you can see Texas is chewing through the Tigers pitching.

Is that now a big enough "sample size" enough for you or do you think he still was the awesome pitcher with 20+ wins on the regular season you make the guy to be?

Yeah Verlander's actually still awesome. Full season > 3 games.

Congrats to the Rangers on their second straight AL pennant. First team to do so since the 1998-2001 Yankees (in the AL).

He's good. He just dissapears in the postseason, just like CC.

 Idk what your point is, it seems pretty meaningless.

1. I was right. Verlander was pretty effective over 7 innings versus one of the best offenses in baseball. Make excuses all you want.

2. I didn't say anything about Scherzer.
