I'm convinced that last night's victory was the last joy I'm going to get from the Sox this year.

I certainly hope that's not the case, but if it is I will be thankful to have had that game at least. One of the best games in my recent memory... even if it was all for nothing.

You would think that it'd be easier for out of towners to cope with the suckage since they dont have to put up with the local media or watch every single game live. But the feeling its just as s*****.

I only get maybe 30 to 40 live games if that here.

I'd move to Boston if it wasn't so overly cold during the winter time.

I'm from out of town too. I just pay for mlb.tv on my PS3 so I can watch the games. There's a free WEEI app for the ipod/iphone if you want to torture yourself with talk radio. I don't suggest it.

Thats what is so scary. It took 14 innings to beat the Yankees spring training team. Arod didnt play, Jeter didnt play and most of the starters were out of the game by the 5th and 6th inning.

A great game against the Yankees spring training team is concerning isnt it?

With all due respect, a lot of you are really being a bunch of Maries here. This is why other cities/regions hate us. New England fans have seen championships from all four major sports teams in the past ten years, and we're all complaining about one collapse at the end of a season? Screw that! Look, this team has royally sucked, but grow a pair, strap on the boozebag, and giddy up for the last two regular season games of the season with a stoic realization that this here is baseball, or don't call yourself a Sox fan. Call yourself a Rays fan, one of the 10,000-15,000 who showed up at home to cheer your team on in one of the most unlikely and uncertain ends of the season in years, the turds. Seriously people, it ain't over till it's over, and if you can't handle the heat, get out of the fricking kitchen.

Win tomorrow. And Wednesday. Go Sox.

ah, ok.

Posts like this bother me. So everyone should be like you, think like you and act like you because you are the only "true" Sox fan right?

Everyone is entitled to handle this epic collapse as they see fit. Everyone (for the most part) are RedSox fans here, otherwise they would be doing something else more productive than posting in a fan forum.

You arent the only one who wants to see the RedSox win bud.

They had to score a run. They faced multiple Yankees regulars on the mound, including Mariano.

I mean, it's not like the Yankees less-than-average lineup could take away runs from the Yankees, right?

In other words, a win is a win, and that win was well-deserved.

To you're point SCM, I think you're both right!

The Sox are still very much in this thing. Many of us are skeptical of how this will finish and emotionally preparing ourselves for the worst, but there's still a chance and the eternal optimsists could remain optimistic.

The Sox just need to win the next two games or else. That's all.

I was hoping Jacoby's clutch hit would bring momentum into the next game, but we seemed sluggish again. Baltimore, in all honesty, should be an easy team to beat, but this month they're on some freaky Space Jam-Alien mojo. Still have faith in our guys, we can get this.

Maybe we can have Darnell McDonald pitch a game and see if he does better than this joke of a pitching staff we've had in this September Slump. Orioles have a s***** pitching staff, but great offense, no reason we can't at least take advantage of the former and score 7-8 runs.

Really doesn't matter if they reach the playoffs or not, they don't stand a chance of winning the World Series.

When a lot of the players on a team underachieve, you have to point to the leadership.

That's why when teams collapse, managers get replaced.

Oh I guess I somehow managed to filter out the reported posts from my email.
