You guys really should not use the term "choke" right now because the Red-Flops are in the midst of choking.

I'll take our choke this year over your choke in 2004 all day long and twice on Sundays thanks very much.

I'll take our 27 world championships, late 90's dominance, 2009 World Championship and making the playoffs this year while the Sox are done on Wednesday over anything you got.

What a pathetic f***ing loss.

People can give Theo all the s*** in the world--and he probably deserves a bunch of it--but Beckett and Lester have folded when they could least afford to have their #1 and #2 pitchers fold. I understand a mediocre start here and there, but basically 5 straight starts (3 by Lester, 2 by Beckett) of shittiness is not what the doctor ordered.

Not sure what to make of it.

Now the team needs to win out, AND pray for the Rays to lose, OR beat the Rays in TB to get in. Not much chance, IMO.

Just dreadful.

Beckett is out of shape and gassed at this point. This is the 4th most innings hes ever thrown (192). Pretty sad, but hes pretty much toast for the remainder of the season. Once he gets to 85-95 pitches at this point in the season his stuff location of pitches and strike zone control disappear.

I'm convinced that last night's victory was the last joy I'm going to get from the Sox this year.

I certainly hope that's not the case, but if it is I will be thankful to have had that game at least. One of the best games in my recent memory... even if it was all for nothing.

Thanks E1 for bringing the doom and gloom.;)
