Considering Lackey, Burnett goes for nearly $100M these days for a 6 ERAs, some clubs will shell out close to that on Darvish.

 

Would not be shocking if the Nationals are in on him. They desperately want a starter to go with Strasburg.

That must have been what happened to us with Dice K, because I think we bid about $18 million more than the second highest bid.

Meh, I am pretty sure nobody will outbid the Yanks for Wilson. He is exactly what we need, a lefty strikeout pitcher with great stuff who doesnt have a lot of mileage on his arm. If Wilson pulls a Lee and turns down the big contract, then I think we go hard for Darvish. This kid has a better frame than Matsuzaka and throws harder. But I would like to go with the known commodity in Wilson over him if I had the choice

When do you think Darvish will be posted? I don't know, Sox have a ton of money to throw around, Wilson would be a dagger to us and put them with an ubber awesome rotation. Plus another lefty in their roto. My prediction Sox sign him for 6/118. They'll be able to save with Larvaway replacing ortiz and reddick replacing drew in the outfield. Perhaps trade for Ianneta for a backup catcher
