This all stems from that horseshit call on Mauer where the ump didn't ring him up on a pitch that was being called all game.

 

Nibbling against a guy with zero pop was stupid to begin with.

Well we should never, ever, ever, ever lose when its Lester vs Blackburn. Maybe a little residual exhaustion from the NYY series this weekend. Got tomorrow off. Yanks have to go face Hellickson, Price, and Shields. We get Seattle. We'll pick this game back up this weekend, maybe even plus 1.

Leaving 38 runners LOB over 4 games is absolutely "squandering" opportunities. And a hell of a lot of them at that. Just because we won doesn't mean that we played well, and just because I said we're squandering opportunities doesn't mean I'm panicking by any means.

Lackey typically throws well against Seattle, especially at SafeCo. 2.78 ERA in 97 career innings at SafeCo.
