Should be an interesting game. Miller gets a lot of run support, but that's not not guaranteed today with Buehrle. Not going to ruin my mojo. When online during the game it's a loss.

I hope Miller has finally just said "Screw it. I'm just going to throw. f*** mechanics' date=' f*** everything, I'm just going to pitch".[/quote']

Well, I'd have to say that that kind of attitude attitude has made him the pitcher he is today. Which is why the Sox need to work doubletime trying to make him some other type.

What I'm saying is that he needs to just go out there and pitch. He's got all the talent. Just get on the mound and stop thinking and just pitch. Concentrate on the mechanics in your sides, but don't get out there and be thinking "Get your balance, drive your glove arm, keep your shoulder in, keep your pace", he's going to get torched. He needs to just go out there, catch the ball, throw the ball. Stop thinking.

He's gotta get reps with his new mechanics. Once he gets 'em down and they're automatic, then he needs to forget that he ever had a shoulder and just throw. Until you've broken some of the bad habits, though, there's no alternative to him being out there thinking about his pitches on the mound.

Definitely, I agree with this. But you can't think too much on the mound, that's all I'm saying.

Well if you can, that's what he's doing right now. Giving up a base hit to Dunn was borderline inexcusable.

A 3-2 change with a runner at third. Yep. This kid isn't pitching with confidence out there, that's a huge red light.

I will say this. I'd rather see Miller miss in the zone than out of it. At least singles are a contact play and give the defense a chance to save him. He's doing much better on the whole this time out, it's just that the Chisox are catching up to the one or two too many get-me-overs that he's putting himself in a position to need to throw.
