So did anyone else hear that Ellsbury changed his stance to generate more power?

It is cool. If someone told you before the season that to this point Ellsbury would only trail Gonzo by 3 homers would you ever believe that?

Didn't hear it, but doesn't surprise me. It looked like he had a slightly difference stance at the start of the year... didn't think much of it then, but it makes sense now.

Scutaro, Tek batting lefty, and a rookie who doesn't play a lot, with 2 runners in scoring position.

Lovely.

Velocity is fine, command as always needs work. I've seen him hit 93 pretty consistently and the O's are having real trouble lining him up.

Was.... was that a 1-2-3 inning?

Reddick really taking advantage of this extended playing time he's getting.

Everyday he proves why he should play the next day, dontcha' think? Go Reddick!!

Also, I just noticed that Miller is throwing a no-hitter. Vs. Orioles but w/e baby!!

Miller no-hitter through 3.

It doesn't bother me but I thought you weren't suppose to mention it lol? They say it's a "jinx".

Still needs to work on his control. His PC is high anyways he won't get through the game.

No, but they way it has happened is how I would have guessed if told it would.

While it's nice that Ellsbury is finding extra power, I think Gonzo's power production has been a bit of a let down to date.

What are those things called again where the pitcher throws it and its over the plate and between the knees and the chest??

Lefties don't find it easy to homer at the Fens. THat's a deel right field even with the bullpen.

Fenway hitters are smart when they focus on doubles production. Most of our best hitters over the last few years have been more line drive types than blasters. Ortiz is an exception. Even Manny was first and foremost a make-quality-contact type. He could just match it with real righthanded power.

With a bit of luck, Miller could get through 6+. He's about 70 pitches through 4. That's not terrible. He needs to have a good 5th though. I'm afraid he might get run.

I know Fenway's dimensions and HR park factor tendencies. They aren't as bad as Petco, and the AL East road parks aren't as bad as the NL West. His power has been below expectation to date.

Kid's a f***ing walk machine. I really wonder what happened to the guy who had 3 in 26 innings in Pawtucket. I know it's unfair to ask of him to be more than a 5 guy but 5 walks through 2 innings is gonna get you your ass kicked more often than not.

Say Miller gets through X amount of innings without giving up a hit and the relievers don't give up a hit. How does that work?

Combined no hitter. There have actually been a few of these in MLB history if I remember correctly.
