Offense just wasn't there tonight. Lester was brutal in the first 3 and settled down pretty nicely. Reverse lock on the pitching matchup tomorrow to take the series.

Well, if Crawford is going to hit the DL, now is the time to do it. He will be eligible to return Monday, July 3rd, which starts our AL games again. The only series he will miss that is going to be tough would be the Philly series. Besides that, he'll miss the following:

 

Vs. MIL (2 Games)

Vs. SD (3 Games)

@ PIT (3 Games)

@ PHI (3 Games)

@ HOU (3 Games)

 

So he'll miss 14 games, assuming he comes back when he's eligible. And of those 15 games, the 2 vs MIL and the 3 @PHI are the only games that are against solid teams.

With our pitchers having to bat in NL parks, either Ortiz or Agon will have to sit. Taking Crawford out of the lineup leaves us with a much much weaker lineup with Drew, Scutaro, Tek/Salty, McDonald/Cameron and the pitcher as the bottom 5 in the lineup. The top 4 hitters will have to be red hot. I think it is a very bad time for Crawford to be on the shelf.

Reddick has got be added in the lineup. McDonald/Sutton/Cameron are not our guys.

 

Its gonna suck watching Ortiz or Gonzo sit during away interleague games. Get rid of interleague... poo...
