Well I work at Fenway and I have had a lot of crazy stories, I just know that a lot of crazy stuff happens at Fenway, and I'm surprised theres not a thread about it already.

I once met Johnny Pesky in the concourse before a game. He spoke to me for so long, like I was his grandkid, telling me stories about how he used to shine Ted Williams shoes! It was great.

Also one time I was on Yawkey Way and a group of drunk guys PICKED ME UP! They picked me up and carried me, with me shouting the whole time, til a security guard broke it up, and made them put me down!

Strange first two posts. Also, kinda shocking that in 7 years the username "fenwayfan" was still available :D

My boss happens to be Theo Epstein's twin brother, and he took me to a game once. We went into Theo's luxury box and I talked to Theo and Dwight Evans. It was amazing. I think I posted about it here after it happened.

I was on Landsdowne outside of Fenway last night for the Clambake... and Theo just ran right by me.

He was wearing a sleeveless Red Sox shirt, running right outside of Fenway. Seriously man, atleast try to pretend you're not a Vice President/GM of the best team in the majors.

This thread makes me think, we should coordinate a large talksox meetup at a game at fenway next year. We'll somehow work out a way to pool our money together and buy a large group of tickets, meet up before the game and have some beers/hang, go watch the game together and have a good time.

I wish bro. I've been trying every year to go to Boston and catch a game at Fenway. It looks like I'll be going next year for a graduation/birthday present during the summer.

I used to be part of another forum that met up in person a few times a year with good results. It really depends on who the people are.

In 1974 the streaking fad was very popular. People were taking off their clothes and running through croaded events everywhere.

It was early in the '74 season at fenway Park and Reggie Cleveland was in a pitching duel with Joe Coleman of the Tigers (I think it may have actually been Memorial day). We were in the bleachers that day and you could actually smell pot somewhere. Suddenly, a guy is streaking naked up and down the stairs. Then, another guy is streaking. Next, there is a roar. A really pretty girl is starting to pull her shirt up. Everyone is egging her on. Some of us are wishing and praying so hard, we are afraid to breath. Then, she changes her mind and sits down. Dang, I love baseball and the Sox won 1-0 that day, but dang...she came so close.

My favorite memory was my late step-father who was from Westminster, MA tried to take me to my first baseball game in 1995. You couldn't get Red Sox tickets, period. I remember standing outside of the stadium hoping we could score some tickets, no luck. A month later, he took me to Cincinnati to see my first game. Been a Reds fan ever since. : ) While I do appreciate Red Sox history and Red Sox nation, who knows, I could have turned out a Red Sox fan.
