Sox fan from Sydney, Australia

Howdi, not really sure how these things generally go.

 

I think I started supporting the Sox back in about 03 after watching them on Foxtel in Australia.

 

Had a little insomnia and kind of got caught up in the hype of the 2004 world series while watching Good Morning America at about 4.30am every bloody morning.

 

Met a lovely young lass from Boston who I spent a good 4 or so months with, and she kind of cemented the support for me.

 

Now I subscribe to MLB.tv to watch as many games as I possibly can, and the new missus just bought me a signed David Ortiz ball for my birthday last week .

 

She also bought me a shirt, but somehow the Sox site got "Medium" confused with xxx large. So inadvertently I now own a nightgown I suppose.

Forgot to add, only been to Boston once. Unfortunately it was off-season so I never got to see a game. Did do the Fenway tour but they were doing refurbishments, so a few things were supposedly off limits opposed to normal tours.

 

Fortunately it was St Patricks Day and the weekend that followed. Girls seem to love the accent, blokes like fighting.
