How about a lineup moving forward of Lowrie, Pedroia, Gonzalez, Youkilis, Ortiz, Drew, Salty (Tek), Crawford, Ellsbury.

I'd move Crawford and Ellsbury to the bottom and just see what they can do.

Gammons made a good point about Crawford batting 6th. He said that his speed would be better utilized for run production by stealing bases in front of the singles hitters at the bottom of the order instead of in front of the HR hitters.

Certainly when he has a .200 OBP it would be.

If he's hitting like he did from 2005-2010 against the Red Sox then he should be hitting often.

Lowrie's only negative is that he really doesn't run well.

He's not an elite fielder either. His speed is decent... you think he's about as fast as Pedroia, maybe?

This is the biggest inning we've had all season. 4 on base' date=' no outs. [b']Lowrie should stick at leadoff[/b].

Yes. A perfect storm for him. He can prove that he deserves to be on the team and he can quickly solidify himself as essential by filling the void at leadoff.

Pitcher torturing is looking good so far today. As Papi used to say after going hitless for a couple of days: "somebody's going to pay." Reyes may pay big time for the teams' slow start.

Also, I would vote to have Jo Jo Reyes start every day against them if they could. Is there some way to purchase him and pay other teams to start him?
