Hi Talksox.com!

So I feel like crying because of how abysmal the

Red Sox have been doing these past several games.

It would make any Red Sox lover like me want to

burst into tears thinking about it. They lost to the

Yankees on Saturday, so now they're in deeper

trouble than they were before.

Why don't we band together as Red Sox fans

and hope for the best?

Yeah, I've got a million other things in my life to worry about before this. Yeah, this certainly sucks and I'm not even remotely happy about it, but in the scheme of things I don't really care that much. I know that the Red Sox are a better team than that and won't finish in the basement. While I feel we all have the right to be pissed off at the team, I think there's no real reason to panic, especially when a lot of losses have come from random bad breaks and unlucky positioning.

There's no crying in baseball!! No seriously... I'm not going to shed a tear anytime soon for this team. I love the Sox and pretty much live and breathe with them over the next 6 months, but in the end they don't pay me a dime to get upset to the point of crying or being angry enough to damage myself or my property.

That said... I expect them to win more than they lose this year and if they continue to play like they have to start the year, I'll be pissed off to say the least.

because it had to be done...

Given our New England sports fan pessimistic nature, it's easy to want to jump off the nearest bridge under the circumstances. It's a bit of a new look team that has not yet found it's cohesion and a bunch of guys are off to uncharacteristically slow starts. But I think we all know that they're much better than the numbers suggest and can soon expect a return to the norm. These guys started as the overwhelming world series favorites for a reason and any talk of 'defections' after 8 games is ridiculous. They are going to click and when they do, it's gonna be fun as hell to watch.
