I see this two ways. I don't think fans should jump on the accomplishments of their favorite teams and treat them like their own. But on the other hand, as long as one keeps it within reason, I see no problem getting emotionally invested in the ups and downs of a sports team.

It's an open forum, correct? If you want to have an irrational emotional investment in a team that is no way connected to your life, and whose players don't even know you exist, fine.We're entitled to voice our takes on how pointless that is, however.
