I keep Nova up. After an abysmal April' date=' his line is 56IP 60H 23ER 21BB 29K for a 3.70ERA with a 1.44WHIP. It's not great, but it is good and his best days are coming. I'd move Garcia to long man and option Pendleton[/quote']

I doubt that ERA will be able to keep up with that WHIP.

Mariano gets another ho-hum save with no ball leaving the infield. I need to tape as much of his outings as possible, because he might have the most perfect delivery from the stretch. The man is an immortal

What is wrong with ARod? There are stories circulating about his shoulder and his hip. He sat out game 1 today.

Tex, ARod and Martin all sat out for the first game. All three should be back in the second game. ARod is currently hitting the ball extremely well though so if he's hurt keep hurting. Cano and Granderson/Gardner will probably get the night off.

There have been some stories about his shoulder, but it doesn't seem serious and it certainly hasn't effected his play. I haven't heard anything about his hip. You got any links?

There's nothing about his hip in that article. He's banged up and, for baseball players, he's getting old. I obviously can't know this for sure, but for now I'd consider it normal and expected.

However, according to some scouts, the Yankees third baseman hasn't been running well all the time.

"There are times he looks like he is holding back," a scout said of Rodriguez, who often has said there is no problem with the right hip that underwent surgery in 2009.

Just because the article uses the word 'hip' doesn't mean it presents any evidence that it's giving him a problem.
I never said that there was evidence of a hip injury. The article is a report that scouts are saying that ARod is not at full speed. That would mean that he is either loafing or he is physically injured. They are clearly speculating that it might be his hip. I am asking you Yankee experts who are plugged in whether you have heard any such reports, so it is funny that you are asking me for evidence.

Then I misinterpreted your point. You seemed to be presenting that article as evidence that A-Rod was having hip problems ... because I asked for links that talk about A-Rod having hip problems.

Anyway, my opinion is that he's banged up (which most players are) and old (for baseball players). I don't think he's running at maximum speed, but that's fine with me, as long as it keeps him healthy. A-Rod's primary responsibility to the Yankees is his bat, which has not been slowed by these bumps and bruises.

So, you haven't heard any reports of injury and the shoulder is okay?

The reports have really been about his shoulder. There was one that said it was a strain, but generally it is just being reported that it is a little sore. As of now I'm not worried, and only will be once it starts to affect his offense.

I can't believe that this sack of s*** Gordon continues to get people out.

100% luck ... nothing else. Fortunately he'll be out of the rotation very shortly.
