CC hasnt had his best stuff yet, but he's pitched the best I have seen in the Yankee uni. He's come a long way from a young flamethrower in Cleveland. Changing speeds, hitting spots, using the slider as an out of the zone pitch, he's been solid.

Now there's the right time to get upset at guys for swinging at first pitches. Neither pitch was particularly good to hit, and Romero was really laboring.

Now we get wild Robertson. This was a really bad match-up for the Yankees going into the game, for a couple different reasons, but somehow they found a way to stay in it. Last inning is probably going to be the one they look back at tonight.

Bautista is a really good all around player. Strong arm, good base runner and an absolute terror with the bat. He hit over 50 bombs last year even though he had a sports hernia in May.

I don't expect it to happen, but I really really really hope that people in the Yankees' front office are at least discussing the possibility of Jeter as a part time player. Right now, Eduardo Nunez is better, and if he ever got the routine plays under control it might not even be close.
