Myers ahead of Moustakas is surprising. Surprised to see Kelly at #32. Guess you lose some spots when you don't have "Red Sox" next to your name :D

lol wow someones been sipping Yankee kool-aid. Banuelos, Betances, Sanchez all top 20 prospects? Most places have those guys in the 30-50 range, extremely generous placement especially with none of them proven above A+ and Sanchez not even proven past GCL...

Also surprised Ackley edges Pimeda. I thought most people had Pimeda as the clear #1 prospect of the M's organization, even with Ackley's fast rise.

Betances and Banuelos both had a good month in Trenton last yr. Having 4 top 20 prospects might be a bit much, but I'd have both Montero and Banuelos in the top 20 and have Sanchez and Betances in the top 50 for sure

Same applies for Harper and Trout. The ranking is not based on the minor league level, is based on ceiling and projection.

Not really, Ackley's the rookie of the year favorite too. Ackely was he M's BA top spect too.

Well, ceiling is very important. Daniel Nava has dominated the MiLB, but most people have him as a AAAA player at best. I feel like the Harper rankings could be premature, but there's no doubt the kid has a lot of talent. Trout has certainly proved a lot of skills in the minors, and I wouldn't have a lot of qualms putting him 1st.

I wouldn't have any problem with Ackley at the top of the M's system, given what I've read about him and Pimeda, I just thought that most organizations had him second. I guess I might have thought more people did than there actually are.

Also it's Pineda.

Most lists are based on projections. This is why Nava won't be on anyone's top 50, 100 or even 500 prospects list.
