Yep, I sent RSFFL 4 picks, my main 2 picks and 2 backups depending on what others do. Hopefully if at least 2 of them are available, it'd go back to Flynnatic's pick again.

Well I thought Mauer was taken early. I thought Posey would go before him since Posey will put up similar numbers, maybe not RBI's, but fairly similar numbers at about 1/36th the cost.

 

That was the big one so far. But Mauer is Mauer, and he's a beast, just an expensive beast.

The three players I wanted for my next pick were all taken in the last three picks. The Weaver and Liriano picks were excellent, and now most (if not all) of the elite starting pitchers are off the board. And if you have the money, the Holliday pick is really good as well.

I like the Wright pick. He was one of the guys I was considering with my most recent pick, but I wanted to go with a very low salary in hopes of adding a very expensive player at some point.

Yeah, I thought about doing that as well, but some players you just can't pass up. I have a general idea of the players I'm going to target, but sometimes you have to adjust your tactics, so it's difficult for me to guestimate how much I'll be spending on these guys.

Right, I understand that. For me though, while Wainwright and Lee don't come with huge contracts, they also aren't that cheap compared to some of the other players selected (mainly referring to Lee).

To tell you the truth, I was kind of relieved that J/E took Holliday. I was strongly considering picking him and moving Gonzalez to center, but $16.33 M is a lot of money. Good pick, though, J/E. You've got a consistently awesome player on your hands.

Out of curiosity was there a specific reason you didn't include Buchholz? (other then playing for Boston ) With a price tag of 443k; Clay is coming off of a 17-7 / 2.33 ERA / 1.20 WHIP season. Theres no reason to believe he can't have the same level of success in 2011
