Really had a breakout year this year after weathering several injuries in the previous few. Scouts say he's hitting the mid 90's and he had a dominant year in Greenville at age 21. Starting to generate some serious buzz again. Probably needs to be brought along a little gently in terms of workload and innings limit, but the talent is there.

What do people see from this guy 3 years from now? Good power LHSP? Late inning LHRP due to injury and workload concerns? Bloody stump where his left arm used to be?

Power arm, good breaking ball, meh changeup and a long list of injuries sounds like a reliever in the future. If he can harness his stuff, he could be a pretty good one at that. That being said, with the sox farm being absolutely assraped by trades over the past few seasons, he is gonna have every chance in the world to make it as a starter

The scouting report makes it sound like his changeup has potential, if not as a plus pitch then at least as a decent option. And neither Beckett nor Lester has a good changeup, although Beckett is a righty and Lester has a cutter.

What kind of injuries has he had? I think that's the larger impediment to a rotation spot.

Might be time to move him to the pen. Without a change, he's meat the second and third time through the order. Plus, his command has left him this yr. Put him in the pen, and he'll dominate

Too early to give up. He was good last year. Young players struggles, and Britton had TJS. Give him another year.

I always thought Britton was overrated, I was kind of hoping the Padres would have wanted him in the Gonzalez deal. He's a two pitch pitcher who struggles with his fastball command. He's been working on a change and a 2-seamer but neither one of them are very good and he knows it so he rarely throws them.
